The Mercado

Seems like every Mexican City or Town has a central Mercado.  The view we share today is an area that is only used by local farmers on the weekend. It is empty during the week. The huge Mercado, over an acre of hundreds of shops,  houses all kinds of items. These inside vendors have permanent stalls that offer fresh fish and meat, flowers and clothing.  It is used all year, there are aisles with meat, an aisle with stall after stall of cheeses. Many people depend on this place to get their daily shopping needs found. This place is truly a feast for the senses..there is a glaring contrast with the near-by "Super Che", a Wal-mart type place that has it's own bus stop-large and sterile, seemingly popular.
We enjoyed amazing mole chicken tamales wrapped in banana leaves after this shopping trip. On a different afternoon we shared the locally created favorite called Tlayuda. It is a big tortilla, filled with meat, beans, lettuce and cheese, folded, then roasted on a grill. The effect is smoky and delightful. We always share one, because it is so big.

  2. Dear Nurse Deb,
You should go to Spain on October 12 because on that day it is La Fiesta Nacional de Espana and the day of the Blessed Virgin Mary holiday or in the United States it is called Columbus day. La Fiesta Nacional de Espana is on two days of the week; it is on Tuesday and Thursday. On La Fiesta Nacional de Espana you get to dance, listen to music, watches plays and eat delicious food.

I know you are going to be in Spain in May thru June 22nd,so maybe next time you go all around the world you should visit Spain in October.

  4. Good beaches in France

When you’re in France you should go to these beaches. First La Grande Motte second Cap Ferret. These beaches will keep you busy because of all the stuff you can do in these beaches.

La Grande Motte is a resort that has a beach and it will keep you busy all day because of all the things you can do. You can play water sports, hike and lots of other activities.

Cap Ferret is a beach you would want to go to if you want to go to a relaxing beach. This beach is also great for surfing, fishing, and swimming. This beach is also close to the city so when you’re done at the beach you can go explore the city.
