It's a little early in the season for the beach. We're hoping for better weather by the time we get to San Sebastian which is reputed to be a beautiful, hip city, with great beaches. We spent two days in Santander (actually in the Cantabria region). A nice beach town with a pleasant old section. Here is one for the church lovers out there....

We are now in Bilbao. This feels very much more vibrant with lots of young people in the old town. Not many tourists. We are feeling the change in political leanings as we happened by a rally for Basque independence.

Did someone say church lover? Fantastic! Almost as good as Xalteva in Granada. shuuurrrp. dig up any catacombs there? stay away from rebel youte.
