Managua

Horse drawn carts are a common sight on the streets of Managua. There is heavy car traffic also.  The buses are packed to the gills.  There are very aggressive drivers that swerve recklessly through openings in lanes, including bus drives with full loads of people.
Here is a painting in the stairwell in the "Museum National Palace of the Culture"  a very interesting museum in the monument district.  The museum has a combination of anthropological artifacts and modern art.

There is a pizza parlor on the Bello Horizonte traffic circle where all the Mariachis gather to get "picked up".  You can enjoy a pizza while experiencing a favorite nicaraguan song in the mexican tradition.  Here is an excellent group of musicians with two spectators in the back.
