A powerful god planned to marry a beautiful woman named Naipí, who fled with her mortal lover Tarobá in a canoe. In rage the god sliced the river, creating waterfalls and condemning the lovers to an eternal fall. (from wikipedia) This is Iguazu Falls. The magnificent waterfalls that we have all seen in the movies. It is on the boarder between Argentina and Brazil.
We spent three afternoons walking around the falls. They are very impressive and there are open grated walkways so you can walk right up the the top and to the base of one to get soaked.
One day we walked into the falls instead of taking the the little train. Along the path we discovered the pumps that recirculate the water over the falls. (just kidding kids).

Argentina Blog Post -"So I checked that we were traveling north, in the direction of the fall of the shadow at noon, and off we went." Argentina is in the Southern Hemisphere, therefore the fall of the shadow is South. That was Dave's comment. Mine is - The map wasn't wrong, you were. Turn yourself around. Dave is much more polite.
